Cheikh Ibra Fam

Cheikh Ibra Fam is a multidimensional artist, well anchored in his Senegalese roots. A former member of the legendary Orchestra Baobab, he blends Afropop with funk, jazz, soul, and roots music. His sophomore international album “Peace in Africa” made him Radio France International (RFI) Talent in 2022. His songs “Yolele” and “Shabida” are in the discovery series of the renowned record label Putumayo World Music, while “Cosaan” was selected as 2023 Best French song by a competition from the prestigious Academie Charles Cros in France. His songs implore people to dance while he fearlessly calls to challenge systemic issues that transcend language and countries.Cheikh Ibra Fam is a socially active artist who has collaborated with the UN Refugee Agency in Senegal and Innovation Africa in the continent, among other projects.
