Acido Pantera
The “electronic-music party with a Colombian accent” was founded in 2013 when producers Juan Por Dios and Diego Veira decided to bring together modern synths with ancient Colombian rhythms and sounds. Since their humble beginnings as Bogotá buddies gigging around town, Acido Pantera has toured across North and South America and Europe hitting major stages including Glastonbury (UK), Sziget (Hungary), Ruido (US), and many more. The addition of Yeyo Vasquez on percussion brings Carnival vibes direct from his hometown of Barranquilla, a city legendary for its annual celebration of the holiday. The band’s beat-rooted tropical acid sound melds traditional Colombian instruments like the gaita (flute), marimba (xylophone), and a range of percussion instruments with drum machines and synthesizers to create a dance party that’ll have Victoria Park bouncing like it’s February on the Caribbean coast.
